Parole Officer assigned to response and Fugitive Unit / Active participant in Cross Fit, Long Distance Cycling and Mens Fast Pitch Softball – Prior to coming to New Jersey Chiropractic and Sports Recovery, I had undergone two knee surgeries that were a direct result of Duty Related Injuries. Because the injuries were related to work, I was required to be treated by State Appointed Doctors, that were orthopedics, but not knee specialist. I completed the required PT sessions, post surgery, within a short time I was agonized with knee, lower hamstring and lower back pain. This hampered my physical performance at work and my active lifestyle. I finally had enough of seeing state Physical Therapist who basically just managed my knees and decided to come see Dr. Kasprowicz. I explained the nature of my pain and my frustration with my injuries since surgery. After only 2 visits, it was clear to Dr. K that my overall issue was a very weak core. and an imbalance of strength within various leg muscles. He had treated me using multiple therapies- Laser, cold compressions, specialized exercises, his hands, Rock tape, etc….Most of which I have never seen before. Weeks later and after feeling 100% better, he recommended that I try something different. He recommended CrossFit! He explained how CrossFit benefits core and overall body strength along with joint mobility. Needless to say, 1 year later I am hooked, at 42 I am in better shape and stronger than when I graduated from the Police Academy in 1997. I still do see Dr. K when I sometimes push myself too hard and need to recover sooner than later. As of 2 weeks ago, I came in to see him after my 300 mile bicycle ride from Northern NJ to Washington DC. Thanks for being educated and passionate about what you do.
